Junior Volunteer Application Process

To apply to the Summer 2024 Junior Volunteer program you must complete the following:

• Complete the online form by March 31, 2024
  AND
• Complete and return the paper form and return it by March 31, 2024

You will be notified of your acceptance the week of May 15, 2024. Volunteer service begins in June.

FAQs

Can I volunteer during the school year?

Only Junior Volunteers who have completed a full summer term of volunteering may continue volunteering through the school year (schedule permitting).

We only accept new junior volunteer applications each February and March for summer placement.

Is job shadowing available to junior volunteers?

Individuals seeking a job shadowing opportunity are not assigned as hospital volunteers. Job shadowing is a function that is overseen by the Human Resources and Nursing Departments for students over the age of 18 in healthcare-related fields.

Junior volunteers provide a pivotal role at LeConte Medical Center. Our hospital staff has so much to do to serve our patients, any help we can provide them is well worth it!
