Sevier County asked for a comprehensive women’s health care center, and Covenant Health and LeConte Medical Center built it. With the latest technology, LeConte offers exceptional women’s care services and family-centered care close to home. From new babies to mammograms, women of Sevier County can trust the women’s care team at LeConte Medical Center.

LeConte Comprehensive Breast Center

Located inside the Dolly Parton Center for Women’s Services, the LeConte Comprehensive Breast Center is an American College of Radiology certified Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Services offered include: 

• 3D mammography 
• Stereotactic breast biopsy
• Breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy
• Breast MRI
• Bone density screening (DEXA) 
• Certified patient navigators

Patient Assistance Program

If you live in Sevier County and do not have health insurance, our Paint the Mountains Pink program can help provide a mammogram screening. Read the story of local artist Pinkie Mistry and how Paint the Mountains Pink helped save her life.

Dolly Parton Birthing Unit 

Those who choose to have their babies in the heart of the Smokies receive family-centered maternity care in beautiful rooms, complete with views of the mountains. 

Some of our features include: 

• A state-of-the-art monitoring system for mom and baby’s safety
• Twin-sized sleeper couches for father or guest to sleep on
• LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum) suites

Heart Care

Cardiovascular disease impacts one in four women, and the signs and symptoms of a heart attack in women are much different than in men. From heart disease to cardiac rehabilitation, cardiology patients at LeConte Medical Center have the resources they need to improve their overall heart health.

Cancer Care and Treatment

Located on the LeConte Medical Center campus, Thompson Cancer Survival Center is Sevier County’s only comprehensive cancer center. Patients at Thompson Cancer have access to genetic counselors, dietitians, social workers and a host of clinical trials and multidisciplinary clinics.

Stroke Care

Stroke is the third leading cause of death fo rwomen. Each year 55,000 more women have a stroke than men. In addition, stroke kills twice as many women as breast cancer.
