LeConte Medical Center Welcomes Aaron Burns as Vice President of Support Services

LeConte Medical Center is pleased to announce Aaron Burns, MBA, has been named the new vice president of support services. His responsibilities include oversight of hospital operations, including outpatient and ancillary services. 

Most recently, Burns served as assistant chief executive officer at a healthcare organization in Mississippi. He brings a wealth of experience in leadership, serving as an executive leader for a variety of hospital departments such as plant operations, pharmacy, cardiac services and clinical informatics. Burns has participated in several hospital initiatives to develop and grow hospital services and to improve patient safety and experience. 

“I am very pleased to welcome Aaron Burns to LeConte Medical Center,” said Gaye Jolly, president and chief administrative officer. “Aaron’s leadership experience and enthusiasm for healthcare will bring fresh ideas so we can continue to be a trusted healthcare provider in our community.”

Burns received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Murray State University and later earned a master’s of business administration in healthcare administration from Bethel University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been active in a variety of philanthropic organizations throughout his career.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join the team at LeConte Medical Center and am eager to get involved in the Sevier County community,” Burns said. “LeConte has a proven track record of delivering excellent care to its patients and I am eager to help continue the hospital’s mission to be the first and best choice.”

Burns enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, watching his children’s sporting events and living an active lifestyle.
