Jay Jordan, supervisor of
cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at
LeConte Medical Center, is one of five
Covenant Health employees to receive a
2019 Cardiac Services Excellence award
in recognition of exemplary care of heart
patients, outstanding performance in
cardiac services, and demonstrating
Covenant Health’s Standards and
Behaviors and Pledge of Excellence.
The awards were presented at a
recent cardiac services council meeting
by Neal Heatherly, president and chief
administrative officer of Parkwest
Medical Center and administrative
leader for the cardiac service line. The
meeting was attended by Covenant
Health executives, facility administrators,
cardiac service line leaders and cardiac
physicians.
Jordan has a passion for what he does
and always strives to provide excellent
care. He says, “I have been doing this job
for more than 36 years, and I still treat
every patient as if they are my only patient.
I want to provide individualized care.
“This is really a team award, and I
could not have achieved it without each
of my teammates. I am humbled to be
acknowledged and give God the glory for
the opportunity to help people every day.”
LeConte Medical Center’s
cardiopulmonary rehab is open Monday
through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The
program is accredited by the American
Academy of Cardiovascular and
Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
