Wellness Center offers pre-season conditioning for athletes
According to the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine "student athletes who received pre-season assistance … were twice as likely to be adequately conditioned than those who did not receive assistance."
Pre-season conditioning is ideal for athletes entering 8th – 12th grade who want to gain an edge over their competition by losing body fat, gaining muscle, and becoming stronger and faster. Conditioning will not only improve athletic performance, but also help reduce chance of injury.
Sign up today for LeConte Wellness Center’s pre-season conditioning program being held June 4 – August 3 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. or 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Training will be lead by Allyn Bursley, LeConte Wellness Center Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor. Bursley is a seasoned athlete who competed in high school football and track, and college-level track. He has 10 years of conditioning training experience, and previously held an Internship with ETSU’s Sports Performance Enhancement Program.
