Thursday, December 22, 2011 - Make your resolution now: quit smoking in the new year!

Smoking cessation class scheduled to help smokers quit!

It’s that time of year when we all start making New Year’s resolutions. Is quitting at the top of your list? Have you tried before, but were unsuccessful? Quitting smoking is difficult and LeConte Medical Center wants to help.

"Freedom From Smoking" is an eight session smoking cessation program designed by the American Lung Association that includes a support group atmosphere, and focuses on overcoming your addiction to smoking. Smoking is a learned habit that can be unlearned.

Our next "Freedom From Smoking" class beings Monday, January 9, 2012, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., at LeConte Medical Center.

The class requires a $50 deposit that is 100% refundable at the completion of the class if you meet the attendance requirement, and a $25 non-refundable materials fee. The first 10 participants who register for the course will have their materials fee waived.

Space is limited, and registration is required. For more information or to register call 453.WELL (9355).
