Features of the Surgery Department at LeConte Medical Center
The Surgery department at LeConte Medical Center features 4 surgical suites, and 2 Endoscopy suites. The four surgical suites are similarly equipped with integrated high-definition cameras and monitors for the best view of the surgical site, LED (green-energy efficient) lighting; and built in towers to house necessary laparoscopic equipment.
The department features 22 private Ambulatory Staging Rooms (ASU). Patients remain in their ASU room with their family for all pre-op processes and interviews and proceed directly in their procedure from that room. Each ASU room is equipped with a flat screen TV for patients to enjoy while they are waiting.
